Job title: Skilled Electrician

Location: Samlesbury / Warton (full-time on site)  

Salary:   £42,084

 Please note these roles may involve working a shift pattern which could include rotational days, nights and weekends. Start dates may also be throughout 2025 and into 2026, therefore flexibility for these roles is crucial.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Installing, connecting and inspecting electrical components in a production / development environment, using a variety of techniques including (but not limited to): 
    • Cable stripping
    • Crimping
    • Sleeving
    • End Make Off
    • Earthing
    • Insulation Testing
    • Continuity Testing
    • Loom Manufacture
    • Amalgamation
    • Wire Locking
    • Torque Loading
  • Ensuring safe systems of work are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings
  • Performing fault diagnosis and defect rectification
  • Complying with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and tool control policies 

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • An Advanced Apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering Discipline from a recognised Awarding Organisation
  • An Academic Vocational Qualification (Level 3 or above) in a relevant Engineering subject from a recognised Awarding Organisation (for example NVQ or City & Guilds (Pre NVQ))

This may take the form of service records for those that carried this out whilst serving in the Armed Forces.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with military aircraft / in the aerospace industry

As a Skilled Electrician you will be responsible for conducting electrical tasks across a wide range of products including Typhoon, F-35 and FalconWorks.
