Job Description
Job Title: SHE Advisor – Occupational Health
Location: Barrow in Furness
Salary: Starting from £40,748 – depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the development, maintenance and/or deployment of SHE management systems to meet the requirements of BAE Systems and international SHE standards such as ISO45001 and ISO14001
- Managing and supporting our on-site occupational health provider
- Supporting activities associated with improving SHE practice and performance
- Providing competent and comprehensive SHE advice within the business
- Supporting the development and implementation of initiative SHE programmes
- Monitoring the effectiveness and providing reports in relation to occupational health
- Supporting the wider SHE function with investigations
- Participating in wellbeing activities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- NEBOSH certificate or currently obtaining
- Understanding of how work activities can influence ill health
- Strong Health and Safety knowledge with a focus on Occupational Health
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desirable:
- IOSH membership
- NEBOSH diploma or Level 6 Health & Safety qualification
