Job Description:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading Requirement derivation and modelling of the different Capabilities/Services within the Support Solution for placing onto Suppliers (Typhoon Level 2 standard).

Core duties:

• Supporting Workshops with both internal and external (Customer and Industry) Stakeholders
• Leading Requirement reviews with both internal and external (Customer and Industry) Stakeholders
• Modelling of the Interfaces between the Services which make up the Capabilities within the Support Solution
• Generating Interface Control Documentation (ICDs) for the Services within the Support Solution
• Leading Engineering Lifecycle Management (LCM) Design / Phase Reviews
• Collaboration and development of working relationships with the Typhoon Radar and Avionic areas within the Business
• Managing deliverables against a baselined Schedule
• Supporting cross-functional discussions

Essential Skills:

• A degree or equivalent experience in a STEM related discipline
• Systems Engineering experience across a full engineering lifecycle/LCM
• Knowledge of Avionics
• Experience of DOORs

The ECRS Mk2 Radar Ground Support Solution team:

There is a requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer within the ECRS Mk2 Radar Ground Support Solution team working within the wider Mission Enablement Team.

The ECRS Mk2 Radar Ground Support Solution team are on contract to develop the System Definition for the Future Support Solution for the Royal Air Force (RAF). The future Support Solution will allow the RAF to do the following for an ECRS Equipped Typhoon Aircraft: Mission Data Generation, Mission Data Evaluation, Mission Data Validation & Verification, Mission Data Post Flight Analysis and Mission Planning.
