PURPOSE OF JOB:

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be a key technical leader within Infrastructure Operations – Enterprise Services. You will work through rotations focusing on providing support, sustainment and delivery of core infrastructure systems. This will include Windows Server, hyper-converged platforms, Citrix platforms and data protection operations. Support Operations would also include support for file services, Active Directory, DNS/ DHCP, print Services and messaging platforms including Microsoft Teams and Exchange/ M365, Citrix NetScaler’s and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

You will work with Systems Architects and Infrastructure Operations Leaders to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) design advice. This role is expected to provide support and mentorship to junior members.

This position can be based out of Adelaide CBD or Richmond (Victoria).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Providing service call support to internal customers meeting agreed resolution times.
• Conduct post incident reviews (PIR) within agreed resolution times
• Ensure Standard Operating Processes (SOP’s) are in place and maintained for our Services
• Ensure that service health plans exist that support service performance reviews
• Seek to maximize our efficiency in support of the business by making use of automation technologies including Ansible Automation Platform
• Ensure that sustainment activities are planned and executed on compute, storage and operating systems including Windows
• Work to ensure obsolescence plans and technology roadmaps are maintained
• Work with Systems Architecture to provide SME advice and input to systems architectural design
• Take a leading role in the delivery of Infrastructure Operations Services including the deployment of new operating systems and server platforms in a hybrid cloud environment
• Ensuring security best practices and processes are followed in support, sustainment and delivery operations

KEY CRITERIA:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Significant experience in a similar Systems Administration role
• Expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and desktops, NetScaler’s
• Expertise in Windows Server support 2016/ 2019/ 2022
• Expertise in managing VMware platforms including VSAN
• Proficiency in Automation and scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, SCCM)
• Knowledge in a Cloud hybrid environment, preferably Azure, M365
• Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to perform under pressure
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
