Job Title: Senior Procurement Supply Chain Manager

Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead team process conformance by continuously reviewing, challenging, and driving process improvements

  • Establish, manage and control all associated labour and material budgets, working in consultation with key stakeholders

  • Ensure that the team procures required items in line with SQCDP objectives, with effective contract management throughout

  • Be accountable for all Supply Chain activity in line with area of responsibility (procurement, programme, strategy or business capability) in support of the Supply Chain Functional Plan at BAE Systems (Barrow)

  • Ensure that the team provides and continuously improves systems, policies, processes, business capability and project related tasks / information to support procuring teams to procure required items in line with SQCDP objectives, with effective contract management throughout

  • Ensure sub-ordinates work collaboratively across the Functions (as appropriate) to resolve problems and achieve objectives and high standards of performance

  • Lead and manage a team of professional Supply Chain Staff and Managers in the delivery of the Supply Chain Functional Strategy and Plan, specifically in support of the area / portfolio that has been assigned to the individual

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • MCIPS or equivalent level, relevant, professional qualification

  • Experience in Supply Chain management 

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Defence sector or similar environment

  • Management, leadership and business executive skills

The Supply Chain Team:

As Senior Procurement Supply Chain Manager, you will be accountable for all Supply Chain activity in line with area of responsibility (procurement, programme, strategy or business capability) in support of the Supply Chain Functional Plan at BAE Systems (Barrow). You will Provide support and assistance in the development of key strategies, policies and procedures to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction (internally and externally).
