Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector – Structural

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Onsite)

Salary: Negotiable (Commensurate with skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

• Performing complex and specialist quality inspection activities, applying expert knowledge within your specific quality discipline
• Undertaking complex and specialist Quality Inspection activities within their specialist Quality discipline
• Conducting conditions management and customer walk-round audits
• Performing Quality activities in accordance with established processes and procedures, reviewing and updating them where necessary
• Using calibrated measuring equipment to verify product tolerances and record any non-conformances

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• Steelwork, Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing Background
• Experience using and training others in the use of technology and tools applicable to the discipline
• Ability to interpret specifications, procedures and contract requirements
• Effective stakeholder management
• Qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience (Steelwork)

Structural Quality Control Team:

You’ll join an established, continuously evolving team at the forefront of Dreadnought & Astute submarine construction covering all of the Barrow site (NAS/CYC/DDH)

This is a unique opportunity to become part of the Quality team in a complex shipbuilding environment, using a wide range of inspection techniques and equipment to support the Dreadnought & Astute build programme and ensure the delivery of world-class Submarine capability to the Royal Navy.
