Job Title: Senior Project Accountant
Location: Scotstoun, Glasgow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £54,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing monthly Contract Status Report (CSR) and Sales and Margin Trading Plan (SMTP)
- Managing monthly customer invoicing and forecasting processes, including milestone achievements
- Supporting and challenging Programme Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates (including change, risk and opportunity, escalation, Forex)
- Attending and actively contributing to Control Account Manager Reviews
- Overseeing monthly cost allocation and verification processes, including supplier invoice approval, review of labour bookings
- Providing project reporting to the Finance Reporting Team for Prelims forecast, Month-End, and IBP, with clear articulation of variances
- Supporting and delivering Integrated Business Plan (IBP) and Month End activities (Trading, Accruals, Variance analysis, and various reports) against strict deadlines
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Fully qualified accountant, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
- Ability to engage with and present to stakeholders at various levels
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes
Desirable:
- Long-term contracting experience within defence or a similar comparable industry
