Job Title: Senior Procurement Professional
Location: Scotstoun, Glasgow. Alternative locations: Broad Oak and Filton considered for hybrid working
Salary: £35,000 to £44,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
· Manage the Supply Chain Request For Quotation and price assembly activities for a range of complex systems, ship equipment and commodities within a bidding process
· Supporting the development and negotiation of Supply Chain terms and conditions
· Analysing current data to inform the supply chain solution
· Collaborate with the wider procurement team to maximize existing supply chain relationships and capabilities
· Manage supplier relationships during the bidding process
· Identify and address supply chain risks and opportunities during tenders
· Resolve obsolescence issues as they arise
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Experience of direct procurement in similar or complex industries
· Experience of managing supplier end to end contracts
· Understanding of laws impacting purchasing contracts and framework agreements
· Skills in managing suppliers and stakeholders, with effective communication at all levels
· Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, able to challenge and negotiate
Desirable:
· CIPS qualified or equivalent, working towards MCIPS or suitable experience in a relevant role

The Supply Chain Team:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and working as part of a cross functional bid team, the role will involve managing Subcontractor/external relationships and ensuring timely delivery of supply chain requirements for an export bid programme.
