Job title: Senior Operations Technician – Site Maintenance

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Salary:  Competitive in line with experience

What you’ll be doing:

·       Responsible for the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of a number of electrical/ technical equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, Cranes and remote control technology

·       Liaising with external suppliers and contractors for materials and parts associated with both planned and reactive maintenance

·       You will work safely at all times following Health, Safety and environmental policies and legislation

·       Working alongside high voltage infrastructure under senior authorised persons

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

·       HNC in Electrical or relevant electrical/technical experience

·       Experience working with and interrogating PLC’s

·       Experience of electronic testing, fault finding and repair

·       Understanding of Technical Drawings and Manufacturing Instructions

·       Maintenance background in an industrial environment

Desirable:

·       Experience in machine maintenance, CNC machines e.g. mills and lathes etc

·       Previous experience working alongside high voltage infrastructure

·      Experience of maintaining and repairs to building management systems

The Site & Facilities Team:

Working alongside a multi trade maintenance team, including technicians, electricians, mill wrights, plumber & joiners, you will be focusing on electrical aspects of maintenance in heavy engineering. This is a challenging and exciting role with fantastic opportunity for growth and development.
