What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure the timely maintenance and validation of complex electrical and mechanical equipment
- Support maintenance reviews by providing relevant technical expertise and recommendations as needed
- Access, interpret, and apply Quality and HS&E Management System documentation (e.g., Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments) while adhering to all safety regulations and control measures
- Utilize maintenance software such as SAP to efficiently manage and update maintenance records
- Providing support and guidance on Responsible Document Management
- Reviewing the effectiveness of Responsible Document Management
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- HNC or equivalent
- Demonstrate the ability to understand new systems
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of Fixed Plant Systems (Electric, Electronic, Software-Controlled)
Desirable:
- IEE Regs 18th Edition qualification
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Data handling

The Plant Maintenance team:
As part of our team, you will play a key role in providing technical support for both planned and reactive maintenance across our site, facilities, plant, equipment, and infrastructure. Your work will ensure everything remains fit for purpose, compliant with HS&E regulations, and fully supports our business operations to meet customer expectations. You will have regular opportunities to collaborate with key stakeholders and contractors, while also developing your skills and advancing your career with BAE Systems. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
