Job Title: Senior Operations Technician Mechanical/Electrical
Location: Barrow-In-Furness – On Site

What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for maintenance and validation of complex electrical/mechanical equipment in a timely manner
- Providing support services to business products under construction and site facilities customers
- Assisting with maintenance reviews, providing appropriate technical advice as required
- Aiding with the development and producing documentation to the required standard
- Liaising with other departments and contractors as appropriate, while fostering appropriate customer relations
- Conducting root cause analysis for breakdown resolution and devising solutions to reduce repeats
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- HNC (or equivalent) Relevant engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Controls)
- Previous experience in a similar role in an industrial or commercial environment

The Facilities Maintenance Team:
As an Operations Technician you will be heavily involved in putting together the infrastructure to support the Dreadnought Programme and final submarines of the Astute class. You will also be a key player in bringing these new facilities online to support these goals and develop the yard for the future. You will be interacting directly with the customer and senior stakeholders regularly and developing significant relations across the business. There will also be prime development and progression opportunities for yourself to move within BAE.
