Senior Operational Excellence Professional

Job Title: Senior Continuous Improvement Professional – cross-class

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. (full time on site)

Salary: From £42,215 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Utilising problem-solving methodology to address root causes
• Assessment and analysis of current processes, procedures and systems.
• Building project plans capable of delivering the required results in a timely manner
• Management of improvement projects throughout all stages of an improvement cycle
• Ensuring sustainability of implemented changes, to ensure a project will deliver desired benefits over the medium / long term
• Assist in Workshops for Business Improvement initiatives
• Delivery of Productive Utilisation studies

Your skills and experiences:

• Working knowledge of business improvement methodologies such as lean six sigma
• Working knowledge of Project Management principles
• Excellent facilitation skills/leading workshops
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
• Ability to understand and breakdown complex issues and communicate to a variety of stakeholders

The Continuous Improvement team:

You will be part of an improvement team, which forms part of the greater Dreadnought cross-class team, that is responsible for making impactful change to the Dreadnought programme. You will engage with senior leaders (SDA where appropriate) to develop cost improvement strategies. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
