What you’ll be doing:
- End to end material management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
- Working in synergy with the supplier to ensure material availability
- Work with Logistics to facilitate the receipt, storage and return of materials
- Liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including our customers and suppliers
- Collating and analysing data for creation of KPIs
- Represent the team at meetings to give updates on material status
- Providing updates on specific internal and external material status’ and issues, whilst taking appropriate actions and expediting to satisfy project schedule demands, key milestones and objectives
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Ability to identify and resolve issues in assigned area of responsibility
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders and customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages and business systems (SAP and TeamCentre)
- Highly motivated and driven, and use own initiative for problem solving to deliver departmental and business targets
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in project management
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Desirable:
- Project management qualifications
- Logistics and supply chain experience

The Senior Material Controller Team
An exciting opportunity to join the team that works on GFE equipment on the Astute and Dreadnought Class Programmes. Here you will be working in a fast-paced environment within the Supply chain function, working alongside internal and external stakeholders. The role will provide you with the opportunity to work collaboratively across the programme and be part of a team which recognises success.
There will be opportunities to grow and develop within this role to develop your knowledge within Logistics and Inventory Management.
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
