Job title: Senior Flight Systems Group Lead (Aircrew Equipment)

Salary: £52,084 – £57,344
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as Technical Lead within the Crew Systems team for the Aircrew Equipment (Flying Clothing, Helmets and Survival Aids), with the objective to develop into the SME reporting to the Technical Authority. Significantly, this will include the Crew System qualification / integration of the Striker II helmet onto the Typhoon platform.
- Plan, coordinate, manage, support, and assist in the execution of System and Equipment qualification activities, taking responsibility for the coordination and management of all activities within the Aircrew Equipment team and the team members involved
- Take responsibility for the career development of all members of their teams including the application of Personal Performance Review process
- Support critical design, development, and performance control documentation, irrespective of platform
- To develop and maintain working relationships across interfacing disciplines, suppliers and Customers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Knowledge of Flight Systems, specifically Typhoon, Hawk, and/or Tornado products
- Degree/HND in Engineering or demonstrated Systems Engineering experience
- Proficient in verbal and written communication, IT competent
- Creative problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Competence in using standard Microsoft Office IT tools
Desirable:
- Exposure to external agencies, Supplier/Supply Chain Management
- Previous experience in team leadership/management
- Experience in design, development, and support of engineering products
