Job title: Senior Finance Manager – Operations

Salary: £64,000+ dependent on skills and experience + car allowance 

What you’ll be doing:

• Implementing performance frameworks across the business concentrating on multi-functional collaboration to drive the strategy, operational performance and improvement plans
• Strong business acumen in Finance Operations you will support the wider business on large scale change programmes to ensure clear outcomes with continuous improvement plans
• Working with the Sales and Operations function and supporting the Finance Director in the integration activities and acting as a conduit into our Finance Capability Centres
• Engaging cross functionally, with Senior Stakeholders, Managers and Budget Holders, to drive business change and improvements
• Challenge and due diligence on new business activity to enable approval of pricing proposals and delivery of the business strategy balancing customer need with maximising shareholder value
• Providing support to the Air Sector 5 year business plan process and ensuring adequate funding for business change and functional improvement activities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Experience in supporting the delivery of long term complex programmes/projects
• Demonstrate high levels of business awareness and political and cultural awareness

Desirable

• Experience of working in a manufacturing company and/or large PLC environment
• Strong experience in establishing and driving programme performance through integrated teams and delivery of long term, complex programmes/projects
• Demonstrable experience working in large, complex companies with wide experience of finance as well as business and commercial awareness to challenge stakeholders

The team:

Reporting into the Finance Director you will be providing support to the Integrated Operations area within the Air Sector, which lies at the ‘heart’ of the business and has c.7,000 employees who provide both Operational and Functional services across the sector. The Air Sector has 14,000 staff in the UK and achieved sales of £4.0Bn for the half year to 30 June 2024.

As the Senior Finance Manager you will help integrate and drive the overall Performance Framework across the business, ensuring there is consistency and standardisation in approach.
