What you’ll be doing:
Support Requirements and Acceptance activities to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones and undertake work in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation Support describing good quality system requirements (and the way those requirements validate the stakeholder needs) and acceptance criteria Support logging the system validation evidence, and stakeholder acceptance Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority - Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it in order to support bids, proposal development and project planning activities for various systems
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
STEM related degree or previous experience within an Aerospace/Automotive/Defence/Telecommunications/Nuclear environment Knowledge of Systems Engineering – Requirements and Acceptance process and practices in the defence, maritime or closely linked industry Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle - Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations
Desirable:
Experience of a requirements management tool such as DOORS

The Senior Engineer – Systems Engineering (Requirements and Acceptance) shall have a good understanding of the relevant maritime legislation, industry and defence standards. They will work with appropriate supervision and support to develop an understanding of the customer and user needs of the system and how they will influence and impact Requirements and Acceptance activities.
