Job Title: Senior Engineer – Systems Engineering
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Filton, Frimley, Weymouth or Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Maturing aspects of the Computerised Information System into the whole boat design
- Liaising between internal and external stakeholders including the MoD
- Ownership of system interfaces and functional diagrams
- Generation of system design documentation
- Support the supplier integration strategy
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proficient in interface management
- Experience working in a defence environment
- Basic knowledge of network architecture
Desirable:
- Experience with engineering lifecycle management
- Proficient in using IBM DOORS

The Dreadnought Common Infrastructure team:
The Dreadnought Common Infrastructure team provide the central processing, network, storage and user interfaces for the Dreadnought combat system. The team consists of 30-35 engineers across a range of engineering disciplines working throughout the whole engineering lifecycle. As Senior Systems Engineer you will be working on the Computerised Information System, a MoD supplied IT product, into the whole boat design, liaising with multiple stakeholders, maturing the parts and ensuring the evidence provided meets the customer requirements. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
