Job Title: Senior Engineer – Site Engineering Authority
Location: Barrow-in-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: £38,734 – £46,000 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
· Ensuring that all new or modified assets are compliant and meet stakeholder requirements
· Manage all assets through the asset management lifecycle from obtain to disposal
· Interfacing with other disciplines, maintainers and site committees on engineering issues and requirements to meet HS&E and other relevant legislation
· Assisting in the project management of installations and commissioning of new and modified assets by completing validation verification checks
· Supporting the business as required in accidents or incidents where engineering input is required
· Delivering asset management across defined assets
· Attending regular design review meetings
· Inputting into major new build projects & managing engineering requirements from conception to completion
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Qualification in STEM related subject to at least HNC or appropriate experience
· Broad engineering background / experience and understanding of regulated industrial engineering practices i.e. nuclear, oil & gas etc.
· Experience in process confirmation & problem solving techniques
Desirable:
· Asset Management experience
· Varied range of project work
· Change control experience

The Site Engineering Authority Team:
As a part of the Site Engineering Authority team, you will carry out Asset Management activities and provide engineering support and guidance to area Engineering Authorities, Projects and Maintenance teams for Site & Facilities. You will be responsible for providing assurance that engineering designs for site and facilities equipment and installations comply with relevant standards, statutory regulations and safety requirements.
This is an ever-expanding team, involved in modernising existing site assets and getting site ready for the new programmes, including Dreadnought and AUKUS. The team has also a history of developing people and promoting within, your input will be recognised and appreciated by the management.
