Job Title: Engineer – Requirements and Acceptance
Location: Halifax, NS.
Salary: $75,943 – $95,478
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in the engineering and management of River Class Destroyer requirements and acceptance (R&A) information
- Lead the capture, analysis, and validation of procured System/Equipment-level requirement verification and acceptance criteria
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive and traceable record of R&A data in the database, ensuring a robust audit trail for all information
- Support the identification and collection of evidence for requirement verification and acceptance, ensuring all criteria are met
- Contribute to the development and implementation of R&A information management processes, procedures, and best practices
- Produce accurate R&A documentation, reports, and metrics to fulfill the needs of both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on R&A matters, providing expertise and ensuring alignment with project goals
Your skills and experiences:
- A degree in a relevant subject e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
- A solid understanding of requirements and acceptance development and management principles
- Experience in database/information management, ideally within a Requirements and Acceptance context
- A good understanding of the product engineering lifecycle

The Requirements and Acceptance team:
Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team at BAE Systems as part of the River Class Destroyer (RCD) program, where we are shaping the future of naval defense. Our team is currently focused on developing the design of the RCD Platform, with a commitment to delivering 15 advanced and highly capable ships to the Royal Canadian Navy. In addition to the design phase, we will be supporting Irving Shipbuilding Inc. through the follow-on ship construction phase, ensuring the successful realization of this vital program. In this position, you will become a key member of our Halifax-based team, while collaborating closely with our Requirements and Acceptance colleagues in the United Kingdom. You will also have the opportunity to grow professionally, continuing to expand your expertise and explore future career paths within BAE Systems.
