Job Title: Senior Engineer – Product Security (PSec Architect)

What you’ll be doing: 

• Contributing to building a risk-based set of cyber security requirements for a system or sub system, providing technical guidance and support for all aspects of cyber security and resilience
• Supporting cyber security analysis work, developing threat taxonomies, security architectures, security baselines and risk mitigations
• Assisting in Producing test plans-and schedules & assisting informal and formal cyber security testing
• Supporting engineering gated reviews and design assurance activities
• Assisting with production of security artefacts such as risk registers, security assurance cases, plans and schedules. Provide security input into related engineering documentation

Your skills and experiences: 

Essential:                                                                  

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM or Information Security related subject
• Experience working in a Product/System Engineering or IT operational environment
• Experience working to define and/or implement risk mitigations and controls 
• Experience working within a wider risk management programme in line with industry good practice (NIST, ISO 27001)

Desirable:

• Experience of product development activities in the defence, maritime, nuclear or other regulated domains
• Experience of delivering security Risk Management documentation in accordance with MOD Policies and regulations
• Project Management exposure

The Engineering Delivery team: 

The team designs, builds, integrates and provides through life support to all the Submarine Platforms in the Royal Naval fleet. You will contribute to the delivery of a critical national asset, receiving comprehensive training and guidance throughout the process. You will be encouraged to develop your competencies and pursue career progression opportunities. Additionally, support will be provided as you work towards achieving professional qualifications. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
