Job title: Senior Engineer – Electrical Engineering

Salary: Up to £52,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Ownership of Integrated Combat System Electrical & EMC requirements and managing stakeholders and external partners in implementing design solutions
- Review of Integrated combat design’s and their platform interfaces providing Electrical design & safety feedback
- Production of CS design interface information, e.g. Interface and Installation/ Production Test procedures
- Performing Engineering calculations and generating associated test specifications and procedures to support design-proving and qualification activities
- Producing Engineering Drawings in FORAN/CADS5/Viso
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- EMC standard Def Stan 59-411 or equivalent EMC standard
- Electrical Safety Standard BS EN 62368
- Ship’s power supply standard Def Stan 61-5 or equivalent
Desirable:
- Def Stan 08-107 General Requirements for the design of Electro technical and Naval Weapon Equipment.
- Environmental Qualification Standards Def Stan 08 – 123 & Def Stan 00-35

The Platform Physical Design Team:
The Platform Physical Design and Installation Service’s provides a key role in physically incorporating Integrated Combat System’s Equipment onto our Royal Navy Submarine Fleet. This role will offer you the chance to come into an exciting project, liaise with high level stake holders and develop your skills and experience to build a lasting career with BAE Systems.
