Job title: Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer
Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: £54,000+ (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
· Developing design solutions for future products, contributing to the entire design, development and deployment cycle; helping to maintain the UK’s frontline warfighting capability
· Technical analysis/investigation and the preparation of reports (including recommendations) to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of the Engineering department capability.
· A key role in designing and supporting electrical/electronic systems for business critical projects such as 4.5” Mk8 Mod1, M777 and AS90
· Dealing with urgent, in-field support requests from customers (faults/defects/repairs etc.)
· Support as required to Mechanical and Software Engineers.
Your skills and experiences:
· Produce system designs (schematics, layouts) for complex engineering projects using industry standard tools, e.g. Altium
· Design of embedded/electronics systems, including digital/analogue circuitry
· Validation of systems/subsystems, including generation of test and integration schedules
· Supporting system design reviews

The Weapon Systems Engineering team:
As part of the Weapon Systems Engineering team, you will be working on new and/or existing products (i.e. M777 towed howitzer, 4.5” Mk8 Mod1 Naval Gun, AS90 Self Propelled Howitzer & 105 Light Gun), through all stages: from the initial concept; design and development; testing of one or more prototypes; through to final manufacture and implementation of a new product or sub-system
