Job Description
Job title: Senior Designer – Electrical
Location: Barrow-in-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangement
Salary: £34,032+ Depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
· This role will provide you with the opportunity to have direct involvement with the design of our World Class Submarines, joining the team responsible for producing 3D models of Electrical Systems and Equipment Integration
· You will also have involvement in supporting the Manufacturing and Production teams with Product and Delivery by producing 2D drawing outputs
· Developing and maintaining working relationships with a range of interfacing teams and team members working together towards a common goal
· Working jointly with the Client to produce an Integrated Design that meets expectations and agreed set of requirements
Your skills and experiences:
· We would like you to have a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification or previous experience working in an Electrical Design role
· Experience / knowledge of a CAD toolset 2D Drawing & 3D Modelling
· Ability to communicate confidently to different teams / team members

The Design team:
You will be joining the Design team who work to produce 3D models and 2D drawings for our World Class Submarine programmes. You will be supported in your role with training and mentoring from colleagues to ensure you are set up for success within our business. The role also includes work to produce a Bill of Materials for your specific area in the Submarine Design and will provide you with the exciting challenge of working with the stakeholder groups to drive the successful resolution of design vs spatial problems. Future career progression could include Principal Designer or leadership roles within the team.
These roles also offer paid overtime, subject to business requirements.
