Job Description

Job Title: Security Incident and Investigation Manager

Location: Frimley, Surrey or Preston, Lancashire. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. 

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Evaluate and manage security incidents and investigations across Shared Services and key supply chain partners, preventing damage, loss, or compromise of assets in Physical, Personnel, and Cyber security domains
  • Ensure investigations are conducted in full compliance with Group Security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and update the Incident Risk Management toolset, ensuring that risks, control weaknesses, and mitigation actions are identified, documented, and effectively managed through to resolution
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Information Technology Cyber Security team on incidents, enterprise-wide events, and improvements to incident management processes
  • Work closely with the security team to develop and deliver corrective security training and awareness initiatives
  • Conduct thorough investigations in line with company policies and UK regulations, with support from key functions such as HR, Legal, and Ethics
  • Provide expert security advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, based on intelligence and analysis, and make recommendations to enhance security solutions for the business

Your skills and experiences:

  • Formal qualification in investigations (PIP accreditation)
  • Proven experience in investigation and incident management, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage and respond to security incidents
  • Specialist knowledge in at least one area preferred, such as Major Crime, Serious and Organised Crime (SOC), Cyber Crime, or public protection interviewing and investigations
  • Ability to provide clear and strategic security advice and recommendations to stakeholders, based on thorough incident analysis
  • Experience in multi-domain (Physical and Cyber) incident management is highly desirable

The Security Team:

You will be part of a small team in Shared Services providing key security outcomes for the business across a large number of sites with multiple stakeholders and a diverse portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to be in a diverse, challenging role and one where you will be helping to set how Security is delivered going forward across the business in the UK whilst ensuring we meet the needs of the business and Government security regulations.

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
