Job Title: SAP BPC Developer & Administrator

Location: Portsmouth, Preston, Frimley, or Barrow-in-Furness: We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. 

Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Supporting the Finance Systems Manager in delivery of capability to the function and business (submarines and maritime services business) through decision making, based on the information at hand taking a ‘Best For Business’ approach
  • Using their in-depth business acumen and influencing skills to drive the direction of multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Create custom logic and enhance existing functionalities in BPC
  • Optimise BPC application for performance and scalability
  • Implement new features and functionalities based on user requirements
  • Responsibility for Finance Master Data – ensuring that all Finance data objects and management information is complete and accurate
  • Ensuring robust systems in place to support company decision making processes
  • Ensuring that financial and systems controls and procedures are maintained and updated
  • Support continual improvement of BPC through minor enhancement to major development
  • Provide SAP BW support and minor enhancements

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., BPC, Planning Analytics / TM1, Cognos, Adaptive Insights, One Stream)
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Solid background in reporting and analytics

The Finance Team:

This role is based within the Head Office Finance function, specifically in the Finance Capability Centre, and reports to the Finance Manager of Business Intelligence. The role involves providing ongoing support across the finance systems and the broader finance function. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with the company’s corporate standards and policies, working collaboratively with IM&T colleagues and third-party partners as needed. This broad role offers the opportunity to manage multiple stakeholders, progress reporting, and influence business decisions across the organisation.
