Job Title: Resourcing Cell – Planning Manager

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £61,110

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Workforce Optimisation: Work closely with business leaders to maximize utilisation of the existing workforce, identifying opportunities to rebalance the workforce effectively across the organisation
  • Resourcing Planning & Forecasting: Develop future-focused resourcing plans to ensure capability and capacity are in place to meet evolving business needs
  • Labour Cost Control: Ensure adherence to financial goals by supporting the management of workforce costs and optimising internal mobility
  • Organisational Effectiveness: Support the OE team in implementing and tracking improvement outcomes from the sprint activities
  • Sustainable Workforce Planning: Support group & function led workforce planning initiatives by analysing trends, forecasting skill gaps, and developing data-driven solutions to meet future talent demands
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with functional leaders, HR, and finance to align workforce planning strategies with business objectives
  • Performance Improvement Monitoring: Track and report on progress against efficiency and performance improvement targets
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage people data and analytics to provide insights that drive workforce planning and resourcing decisions

 

Your skills and experiences: 

  • Experience in planning, resource management or people capability
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex workforce data and translate insights into actionable plans
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across HR, Finance, and business functions
  • Understanding of labour cost control, internal mobility strategies, and recruitment planning
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
