Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer – Supply Chain

Salary: £38,000-£41,800 Dependent of experience
What you’ll be doing
- Support the delivery of safe, compliant defence aerospace products by monitoring and assuring production staff competency, while driving and supporting the reduction of non-conformance activities within a growing production environment
- Support the resolution of quality issues through structured root cause analysis, applying methodologies such as RCCA, 5 Whys, DMAIC, 8D, and Six Sigma to drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions
- Facilitate Material Review Boards (MRBs) with key stakeholders, ensuring timely decision-making and driving issues through to effective and resolution
- Liaise with and be responsible for ATS Supplier Quality to resolve issues with bought-in raw materials and components
Your skills and experiences
Essential
- Proven experience in a quality control role within a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Experience driving change initiatives and implementing continuous improvement activities
- Level 3 apprenticeship, degree, or equivalent industry experience in a relevant discipline
Desirable
- Experience/knowledge of elastomeric/composite materials
- Aerospace/Engineering industry background is advantageous
- Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS/EN 9100

The ATS Quality Team
Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) brings together Micro & Nano Systems (Filton) and Microwave Materials (Towcester) to deliver cutting-edge R&D and production capabilities that provide innovative, competitive solutions to our customers. This role is based in Towcester and sits within the FalconWorks Quality Team.
As a Quality Controller, you will work closely with Operations and Engineering to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and compliance requirements. You will deliver a broad range of planned quality assurance activities, providing confidence to management that quality standards are effectively deployed across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing environment focused on future technologies. The role offers exposure to both R&D and production activities, working within a collaborative UK-wide team. You will benefit from structured development support, further training opportunities, and shared learning across sites such as Warton, with a PDP aligned to both business needs and your career aspirations.
