Role Description:

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for leading impactful technology initiatives?

We’re seeking a dynamic professional to drive the successful delivery major technology projects within the Internal Investments Portfolio. You will start with managing the enhancement of the key Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system at BAE.

This role will focus on implementing innovative technology solutions that support smarter decision-making, improve resource utilisation, and enable seamless digital workflows. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping how technology supports modern work environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and sustainable outcomes.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end project leadership, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to manage project governance, risk, and stakeholder engagement.

Core Duties:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Acts as the bridge between internal finance stakeholders and external tech suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with change management and governance frameworks.
  • Provide regular updates to executive sponsors and steering committees.
  • Adhere to the governance and assurance requirements as defined by the BAE PMO.

About You

  • Senior project management experience designing and delivering complex transformational projects (project budgets of $2M and above) to drive the schedule of activities, resources and interdependencies to deliver on the agreed scope to budget
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal with proven experience in partnering with internal and external parties to understand and articulate outcomes being sought by the project and translating this into a schedule for execution.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Degree qualification in Project Management (e.g. PMI-PMP) or relevant discipline with an experience working within organisations that followed either PMI, Prince2 or Agile methods
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a defence clearance.

The Digital Delivery Centre (DDC) Team

The Digital Delivery Centre (DDC) is responsible for delivering frontline IT support and incident management while maintaining a secure, high-performing end-user operating environment supported by reliable hardware that enhances the overall digital experience. It drives the development, deployment, and performance of enterprise technologies and services, ensuring alignment with business needs. The DDC also focuses on mobilisation and capability uplift across both technology and people to deliver bespoke programs within its landscape. By leading and enabling Enterprise Applications and IT Operations streams, it ensures successful delivery against key business objectives. Additionally, the DDC defines and executes tactical strategy, overseeing the delivery of Enterprise Services across architecture, applications, infrastructure, and IT operations.
