Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Rochester, Kent. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £50,000-54,000 depending on skills and experience

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
  • Implementing and utilising Earned Value Management methodologies when appropriate
  • Driving ownership of Work Packages and tasks throughout the project team
  • Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
  • Using project management techniques, to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions
  • Achieving the agreed project cost, sales, margin and cash flow targets
  • Managing a small multi-functional team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Using project management techniques, to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions
  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent customer relations
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
  • Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved 
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions with clarity 

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent – business or engineering
  • Experience of Earned Value Management methodologies
  • Aerospace and defence business proficiency
  • Broad cross functional business experience

The Project Management team:

This is a product project-based development role, with opportunities to further your career within Project Management and the wider Electronic Systems business.

The Electronic Systems (ES) sector spans the commercial and defense electronics markets with a broad portfolio of mission-critical electronic systems, including flight and engine controls; electronic warfare and night vision systems; surveillance and reconnaissance sensors; secure networked communications equipment; geospatial imagery intelligence products and systems; mission management; and power-and energy-management systems. You will be provided with an opportunity to make your mark in the number of key areas above in this role.
