Job Title: Project Manager

Salary: Up to £58k depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
· Ensure the successful financial performance and risk management of the projects
· Manage a multi-disciplinary team in a project environment
· Manage/Support Customer/Stakeholder group through reviews and progress meetings
· Manage negotiations with Customer/Stakeholder/Sub-Contractor
· Deliver regular briefs at Board/IPT level for the project
· Pursue best practice and align local processes and procedures as applicable
· Deputise for senior project managers when appropriate
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Extensive knowledge and experience of Project Management techniques including: resource planning and management; cost capture, analysis & forecasting; schedule planning and tracking including earned value management (EVM); schedule risk analysis (SRA); risk and opportunity management, change management
· A thorough understanding of commercial principles to represent BAE Systems in discussion with various stakeholders
· A full understanding of Life Cycle Management
· Excellent IT skills particularly Microsoft Office suite. Working knowledge of planning and risk tools
Desirable
· Industry recognised project management qualification ideally PMQ
· Understand the principles of bid and estimating processes

Our Team:
You’ll be delivering one of our Naval Ships Combat Systems Projects, working across a portfolio which could include International Projects and/or MOD Customer Projects. The Project Manager will ensure the successful application of project management processes enabling the project to be delivered on time, to budget and to quality across the project lifecycle.
