The role is responsible for
discharging Project Management activities across the Qatar In-Service Typhoon Availability
Service Operation at Dukhan Airbase, Qatar, as CAM133. This role will undertake
Project Management activities within the respective technical delivery areas to
ensure key PM tenets are discharged and upheld.
The
incumbent will be required to gather, synthesize & integrate information
relating to performance (cost, resources and outputs), generate, monitor and
report progress against plans, identify trends, analyze and interpret data and
information to ensure all data and information is accurate, generate and
publish regular reports, including internal contract review packs and external
customer facing material
This
role will be geographically deployed out into the respective delivery area,
providing a Project Management service into the allocated area. Hierarchically,
this role will report into the Project Management Lead, who will provide
support, leadership and the PM governance framework the incumbent will be
required to operate within.
The role will also be required to support and conduct any ad-hoc PM activities required due to the nature of
Operations at Dukhan Airbase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide deployed Project Management support to Dukhan
Delivery areas
- Run a subset of the Dukhan Business Rhythm within
each delivery area, ensuring Risk, Opportunity, Change (Organisational or
Technical) and Spend are reviewed within each team
- Co-ordinate, facilitate and compile agreed OPR inputs
on behalf of each delivery area
- Act as the deployed Project Management conscience of
the Dukhan Operation, ensuring delivery areas remain within governance,
escalating issues as required.
- Operate as ‘critical friends’ of the deployed areas,
providing a valued Project Management service whilst driving and upholding PM
values and standards
- Support compilation of PM&C artefacts into the
drumbeat Dukhan SMT Business Rhythm reviews (for example, Change Requests)
- Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives into the
CI lead, seeking to maximise
operational efficiency and minimising costs;
- Responsible for managing the financial information
for the allocated area, to feed the Contract Status Reports (CSR);
- Responsible for managing the Risk and Opportunities
(financial, quality, scope and quality) within the allocated area
- Develop, manage and maintain integrated program
schedules for non-recurring elements of work
- Manage and measure delivery against the contract,
advising on contractual compliance / shortfalls for both BAES and the QEAF
(BFP/R)
- Co-ordinate, control and report against internal and
contractual KPI’s
- Act as an interface with junior officers within the
QEAF for the allocated area for all applicable Project Delivery requirements
- Responsible for managing the resource manpower within
the allocated area from a PM standpoint (e.g. cost, resource planning,
capacity modelling)
- Support reviews (preparation or attendance) including
but not limited to OPR, QCRs, QBRs, risk & opportunity, Change Control
Boards, Business Operations and customer PRMs;
- Provide support to the Business Management Lead for control of the Resource management aspects
of the Typhoon Availability Service

- Ensure compliance with the mandated BAE Systems Governance Framework, including,
but not limited to; Life Cycle Management (LCM), Business Continuity
Management (BCM) – Incident Management (IM),
Gifts & Hospitality (G&H), Responsible Document Record Management (RDRM), Export
Control, SHE, et al.
- This role will also be required to support and conduct any ad-hoc PM activities required due to the nature of Operations
at Dukhan Airbase.

Requirements
Qualifications/Functional Knowledge:
Functional Knowledge &
Experience:
- Experienced and in-depth Project Control knowledge and techniques in
an Operational Aircraft Support environment is preferred;
- Experienced resource demand management and forecasting;
- High level of MS Office knowledge and application;
- Programme Reporting experience;
- Understanding and appreciation of operating in a customer-focused
organisation in the Middle East;
- Commercial and Contractual Awareness;
- Purchasing Process and Export control awareness;
- Contract Status Reporting (CSRs).
Business Expertise:
- Requires good analytical skills, able to manipulate data to identify
trends and data shortages. At this level is able to assess if data is
complete, accurate and turn into management information for onwards reporting
- Requires the ability to appropriately engage with and challenge a
wide range of stakeholders on project performance
- Understands and is able to use and interpret all project management
tools sets.
- Requires a good understanding of the work breakdown structure for the
service area or project
- Capable of performing detailed performance analysis using a range of
PM toolsets and techniques

Qualifications:
- L6 Project Management Degree (complete or in-progress), or an
extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience;
- Proficient level of English, written & verbal.
