Job title: Production Managers

Location: Samlesbury / Warton Full Time On Site

Salary: £61,110+

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading a Production team to deliver high tolerance cutting edge aircraft components, major/minor assemblies or full aircraft to programme schedules at the required Quality and Safety standards at a specific cost budget
  • Integrating and aligning your team against key objectives, linking to strategic business performance and recognising that good employee engagement is the foundation required to achieve a culture of a total performance
  • Effectively managing differing and sometimes conflicting priorities of the business utilising judgement and experience to inform senior stakeholders
  • Reporting on the performance of the business area; identifying trends, potential problems or opportunities and to propose and implement ways in which performance can be improved
  • Ensures the adoption of best practice tools and techniques to ensure problems are resolved at root cause and systemic issues are prevented from reoccurring through clearly defined and communicated process change

 

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of a manufacturing environment, utilising systems, tools and structure to influence objective outcomes around Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People
  • Strong leadership competence e.g. decision making, communicating, motivating, selecting/developing people, taking proactive actions
  • A high energy leader, with a focussed and objective management style and an ability to quickly develop relationships both internally and externally

Desirable:

  • Able to filter, prioritise, analyse and validate complex and dynamic material
  • HNC (or above) equivalent qualification or experience in Engineering/Operations Management
  • Previous experience of the delivery of complex and critical manufacturing operational outcomes that enable strong schedule and financial performance

The Air Sector Manufacturing Team:

We have great opportunities to work on complex, innovative and world leading projects such as Typhoon, F-35 and FalconWorks. Join us and you will be working alongside other functions to deliver products that will be in service for 40+ years and be continually upgraded to maintain Customers Air Defence capabilities.
