Job Description

Job Title: Organisational Psychologist

Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. 

Salary: £38,700+ depending on experience

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Identifying business and additional stakeholder risks and opportunities to improve culture behaviours and to support improvement projects to completion
  • Working with Internal and External customers on a variety of projects that link into different domains of organisational psychology and ensure effective delivery of these
  • Developing, improving, and delivering training packages with consideration of adult learning and teaching work psychological theory and application
  • Supporting the delivery of the organisational psychology strategy within the Submarines business
  • Conducting/supporting investigations with Root Cause and Human Factors Analysis by providing guidance and facilitation to ensure that corrective actions adequately consider person, task and organisational factors
  • Undertaking problem solving activities, including the use of qualitative and quantitative research methods

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in Organisational/ Occupational Psychology
  • Experience within high risk or industrial environment as an organisational psychologist or closely related role or within an academic environment
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and able to produce reports and proposals
  • Qualitive and quantitative research and data analysis skills

Desirable:

  • An awareness of Quality Management Systems
  • Experience with problem-solving activities, such as root cause analysis and Human Factors Analysis
  • Experience in coaching and delivering training packages to employees, leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Chartership with the British Psychological Society or interest in becoming chartered

The Quality Function Team: 

As an Organisational Psychologist within the Quality Function, you will be acting as an internal consultant for the business to improve the effectiveness and productivity of workers and the application of organisational psychological theory and practice. You will be able to make a meaningful impact on the business for both Stakeholders and Core Staff and share your inputs to improve life across BAE.
