Job Description
Job Title: Support Engineer (Training Services)
Location: Frimley, Broad Oak (Portsmouth) or Devonport. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £45,000
What you’ll be doing:
• Analysis and delivery of submarine training data in support of the Submarines training community
• Training Needs Analysis Outputs as defined in accordance with JSP 822 Part 2 (Defence Systems Approach to Training – DSAT)
• DSAT Compliant Customer Courseware and Media
• Development, delivery and maintenance of training outputs, courseware and media to support Customer requirements
• Customer Training Evaluation and Audit Reports
• Development, delivery and maintenance of training outputs, courseware and media to support Customer requirements
Your skills and experiences:
• Detailed working knowledge of DSAT and experience in the delivery of DSAT compliant training deliverable outputs
• Ability to analyse and respond to customer training data requirements
• Sound communicator (verbal and written) and the ability to present well at meetings
• Able to write coherent documents and articulate what is required to be done
• Good relationship management with peers and Customers
• Significant experience and knowledge of submarine design and/or operation

The Training Services Team:
Training Services is a compact team within Submarines In-Service Engineering team supporting MOD training requirements. Consisting of 6 members responsible for support to training across Astute Class Submarines. 4 team members, who you will be a part of, will be responsible for the support to the Astute training providers, whilst the remaining 2 members deliver professional career training to the onboard Maintainers responsible for the maintenance and upkeep for the Common Combat System.
