Job title: Principal Engineer – Systems Engineer (Process & Governance)

What you’ll be doing:
· Developing, deploying and governing engineering process across a broad group of multi-disciplinary
· Tailoring, documenting and communicating variants of product development lifecycles to meet the specific needs of programmes and systems of systems
· Providing engineering governance across multiple delivery programmes
· Supporting non-engineering stakeholders in a complex engineering development environment
· Providing leadership, guidance and coaching to other engineers
· Steering new systems development through implementation of best practice systems lifecycle processes
· Working with customers to support delivered systems and resolve issues
Your skills and experiences:
· Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience in industry/armed forces) in relevant STEM subject (Science / Technology / Engineering / Maths)
· Engineering lifecycle experience/exposure
· Understanding of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations

The Integrated Systems Assurance and Governance team:
Working within the Integrated Systems Assurance and Governance Team, you will be reporting to the Principal Engineer and Engineering manager. The successful candidate will be working within the Dreadnaught project for BAE Systems Submarines.
Integrated Systems Governance & Assurance enables the effective and efficient delivery of the engineering products of the Integrated Systems CAM areas throughout the engineering lifecycle, by driving consistency of approach through mutual assurance, the deployment of plans & processes, whilst facilitating continuous improvement.
