Job title: Principal Engineer – Software Configuration and Release Controller

What you’ll be doing:
· Supporting the production of the software configuration management plan
· Support the design and maintenance of software configuration management and release processes
· Discharging software configuration management activities in accordance with the plan
· Identification, production, release and delivery of software products to both internal and external customers.
· Support the definition, implementation and maintenance of stakeholder configuration management requirements
· Support software configuration audit activities (i.e. FCA/PCA)
· Coaching of the software configuration management team
· Interfacing with the platform configuration management team to ensure that platform configurations are accurately maintained.
Your skills and experiences:
· Relevant Software Configuration Management standards (i.e. IEEE-828, ISO-TR-19759)
· Practical knowledge of the implementation of software configuration and release management
· Configuration Management toolsets (i.e. Micro focus Dimensions)
· Software Release Management
Desirable:
· Systems and Software Engineering Lifecycle models (i.e. V or Waterfall)
· Configuration Auditing
· Process design and development
