Job Title: Principal Engineer – Computing and IT (Network)

What you’ll be doing: 

• Lead the development of IT design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones
• Support the development and management of requirements and acceptance criteria specific system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform
• Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including: diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications
• Ensure network design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority
• Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation

Your skills and experiences: 

• Proven track record of network infrastructure systems design
• Experience in an enterprise, industrial or defence IT environment
• In depth knowledge of at least one of the following disciplines:
  • Design and deployment of complex network solutions
  • Internet Protocol telephony solutions
  • WLAN – wireless networking solutions
  • Fibre Optical network design
