What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out routine work with limited supervision & understand safety consequences in a high-risk environment
- Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner
- Instruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competency
- Responsible for research, review & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard
- Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation
- Deputise for the relevant Commissioning Project Leader as and when required, including supervision of personnel on shift
- Represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all relevant systems and a strong knowledge of other system interfaces
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience in Test & Commissioning
- Detailed understanding of Test & Commissioning processes
Desirable:
- Experience in leading commissioning activities

The Test and Commissioning Team:
As an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be accountable & responsible for ensuring Test & Commissioning activities undertaken are in accordance with Company Policies, Procedures and Legislation. Further responsibilities include accountability for the activities you are leading on shift, acting up duties as Commissioning Project Leader and to take responsibility in becoming a Subject Matter Expert on Test Section Systems. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
