Job title: Production Planning Managers

Location: Samlesbury / Warton Full Time On Site

Salary: £61,110+

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Leading a small to medium sized team in the integration and co-ordination of all production planning activities across your area of responsibility
  • Providing support to the Senior Planning Managers / Head of Planning in their responsibility for the delivery of the planning operations, organisation, strategy and processes
  • Determining the production capacity needed by each Manufacturing area to be able to discharge the operational plans taking into account labour, utilisation, budgets, man to machine ratios and other constraints
  • Ensuring the appropriate level of functional process control and assurance is deployed and in-place across all manufacturing activities and interfaces
  • Representing, managing and facilitating all external reporting demands for an area of responsibility

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Significant experience within an operational environment, with a strong understanding of production planning strategies, concepts, systems and processes
  • Strong leadership competence e.g. decision making, communicating, motivating, selecting/developing people, taking proactive actions
  • A high energy leader, with a focussed and objective management style and an ability to quickly develop relationships both internally and externally

 Desirable:

  • Able to filter, prioritise, analyse and validate complex and dynamic material
  • Formal professional qualifications in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM/APICS) and/or, Project Management (APMP and Prince 2)
  • Previous experience of planning activities relating to complex and critical outcomes that enabled strong schedule and financial performance

We have great opportunities to work on complex, innovative and world leading projects such as Typhoon, F-35 and FalconWorks.
