Job Title: Logistics Technician (Packing)
Location: Rochester
Salary: £27,500 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting at the reception desk, dealing with queries and support internal customers
- Manual Handling of loads
- Packing a varied number of different items of commercial and military items to a specific packing instruction
- Liaising with courier drivers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Excellent communication, problem solving, organisation and prioritisation skills
- An aptitude for a fast-paced environment, good initiative and attention to detail
- Proven Customer Service background
- Good knowledge of Microsoft software packages
- Packing/ loading experience and or awareness of Packing Standards
Desirable
- Stores and auditing experience

The Logistics team:
You will be providing effective support to the Despatch Area, reporting to the Manufacturing Resource Lead but with the flexibility to work in other logistics areas when instructed. The purpose within despatch is to help pack all products being shipped from Rochester both commercial and military to all regions across the globe.
It is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on achieving the department’s service agreement. So far in 2024 the Despatch Department has successfully shipped 20,000 products from Rochester.
