Job Description
Job Title: Manufacturing Supply Chain & Logistics Team Leader
Location: Samlesbury – On-site only
Salary: £54,793+ (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
· Leading, developing and managing a team of logisticians in a challenging and fast paced environment, ensuring correct standards are met within the PP&L framework
· Lead interactions with internal and external supply chain, managing supply chain performance and ensuring availability of sufficient material stock levels at all times in line with the production plan
· Develop and maintain KPI reporting to demonstrate control and performance, including reviewing risks and opportunities around inventory and enablement dependencies
· Implementing the principles of Operational Excellence within your area (e.g. Lean Logistics, Customer Service excellence)
· Team PDR target setting and performance management, including managing sickness and absence of team members in line with company policy
· Implementing company safety, health, and environment (SHE)
Your skills and experience:
Essential:
· Proven ability in leading, managing and developing teams within a manufacturing environment.
· Working experience of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Infor LN/SAP or similar)
· Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
· High level of resilience and strategic thinking
· Proficient in the use of IT (particularly proficient in the use of MS Excel & Power Point)
Desirable:
· An understanding of Production Control and Logistics concepts, systems and relevant business processes. This includes experience in a manufacturing/procurement/supply chain environment.
· Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain institution at the appropriate level, or be willing to work towards it e.g. for grade F positions this means having a level 4 qualification such as CSCA or ASCM certificate and CILT Membership at Member level
