Job Description

Job title: Lead Project Professional – Delivery

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This is a full-time onsite position

Salary: From £45,628 dependent on skills and experience

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and functions to ensure integration of infrastructure across the facility and the business
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the future requirements of the facility are aligned to the design intended
  • Responsible for enabling and delivering multiple small, isolated projects to support the wider programme
  • Provide focus and drive to projects / work packages to ensure delivery is in line with the programme plan
  • Support the management and integration of programme solutions / projects
  • Lead engagement sessions which promote the programme vision and describe how change is beneficial to stakeholders
  • Be an advocate of change and drive the successful adoption of transformation in the facility 

Your skills and experiences:

  • Familiarity with infrastructure or operational delivery for buildings
  • Strong stakeholder management experience up to Director level with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Project Management experience – including reporting, scheduling and dependency management
  • Knowledge of business change theories or previous experience with Change Transformation projects
  • Project Management qualifications such as APMQ, Prince2 etc would be desirable but not essential
  • Operating in a complex delivery environment across multiple projects and programmes

The Devonshire Dock Complex Transitions team:

As the Lead Project Professional – Delivery you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to be involved in a key transformation project to help define and deliver the future for the Devonshire Dock Complex (DDC) – a key element of the manufacturing capability at our Barrow in Furness site. The DDC Transition Programme is a change programme which is charged with transforming the DDC to create a vibrant, state-of-the-art production facility, built for safety, flow, efficiency and the community. By undertaking this change programme, focussing on People & Climate, Infrastructure and Ways of Working we will enable our current and future generations to prosper and the best work of their lives. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
