Job Title: Lead Project Management Professional
Location: Glasgow, Scotstoun
Salary: Up to £54,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the definition and control of project scope, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, documented and reflected within cost, schedule and quality baselines
- Work collaboratively across key functions and departments to identify, track and support the resolution of project issues that could impact programme delivery
- Review and assurance of project schedules, interrogating activities, highlighting emerging risks and supporting alignment with integrated programme plans
- Support the management of assigned cost accounts, contributing to forecasts, performance analysis and financial controls
- Oversee project change activities, capturing and assessing impacts and supporting continuous improvement across the team
- Support the identification, monitoring and management of risks and opportunities, maintaining accurate records and contributing to effective mitigation and reporting
- Maintain oversight of key milestones, deliverables and acceptance events, tracking progress and escalating issues where necessary
- Act as a delegate for the Project Manager or Head of Project when required, representing the project in meetings and supporting effective decision making within agreed authority levels
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience working in a project management environment, with a solid understanding of project management tools, techniques and processes, and the ability to apply these effectively in routine situations
- Strong organisational, analytical and planning capability, with the ability to gather and interpret information, interrogate schedules, identify inconsistencies and support the development of integrated plans
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, influence professionally and contribute to problem solving and issue resolution
- Awareness of risk, change and governance processes, supported by competent IT skills (including Microsoft Office) and the ability to apply project controls and governance within a complex programme environment
Desirable:
- Experience contributing to the development of others, such as supporting colleagues, coordinating cross functional activity, or acting as a delegate for senior managers, demonstrating confidence in representing the project and supporting team capability growth
- Exposure to complex engineering, manufacturing or infrastructure project environments, with an ability to understand technical inputs, work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, and apply project management practices within a regulated or highly engineered setting
