Role Description:

Excellent opportunity for a Team Lead to join the team and drive the delivery of complex engineering outcomes, bringing together people, resources and technical expertise to achieve project success. You will lead planning and execution, guide engineering teams, ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements and play a key role in delivery of safe, secure and high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Core Duties:

• Lead critical fire detection systems integration for Australia’s largest naval shipbuilding program
• Plan estimate and resource engineering work to meet delivery requirements
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
• Use SCADA controls and instrumentation knowledge to solve complex system challenges.
• Lead design changes, technical risks and supplier performance across multiple stakeholders
• Deliver advanced electrical control solutions within a multidisciplinary engineering team
• Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, training and succession planning
• Own electrical fire detection design, integration and certification across a global engineering network

Essential Skills:

• Degree qualified in Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering – Instrumentation highly considered
• Experience leading engineering design, integration or systems engineering activities
• Strong knowledge of control systems, SCADA, instrumentation or industrial automation
• Proven ability to deliver against cost, schedule and quality objectives
• Experience planning, estimating and resourcing multidisciplinary teams
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills across multidisciplinary, production and international engineering teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience managing technical risk and design change
