Job Title: Procurement Leader (Lead Data Solutions Analyst)

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Occasional travel to other BAE offices across the UK is expected and expensed.

Salary: Circa £46,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the development of data analysis and reporting solutions on behalf of the Supply Chain function, in concert with stakeholders within IM&T and Programmes

  • Manage project teams composed of staff from disparate parts of the organisation

  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify and quantify opportunities to leverage data and analysis in order to improve the performance of the Supply Chain function, alongside that of the wider submarine delivery programme

  • Introduce data governance policy and process to monitor and correct quality challenges

  • Contribute to Supply Chain Excellence by supporting activities that deliver on People, Process, Technology & Governance, ensuring the SC function is fit for the future

Your skills and experiences:

Essential: 

  • Experience developing data analysis products and implementing them within a large, complex organisation

  • Experience working with databases and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or equivalent

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Supply Chain experience, ideally within aerospace, defence or MOD

  • Previously held line management responsibility

  • Professional Supply Chain qualifications (eg CIPS or APM)

  • Good numerate academic qualifications

The team:

Yours will be a key role within Supply Chain Excellence, who are responsible for optimising a submarine supply chain handling a significant proportion of the UK defence budget.

This is a fast paced, commercially driven procurement and logistics environment with a varied range of development opportunities, including within the wider BAE Group. You will be working as part of a diverse team to deliver a crucial part of the UK’s National Defence Programme. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
