Job Title: IT Systems Administration Team Leader
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary £ 80,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the allocation & delivery of work within the Team, including feeding into the main Resource plan
- Manage the DBA resource team, setting objectives, directing and motiving, creating development plans and allocating and tracking work progress
- Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including other IT Teams, Customers & Suppliers
- Manage Business escalations and service issues, taking appropriate actions and working with our 3rd party IT providers
- Managing a number of systems and servers a mix of on-prem and Oracle Cloud environments
- Ensure systems and environment are patched to the latest vendor patch levels
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience leading a small team
- Experience performing SQL Server Administration and Support
- Experience performing Oracle Database Administration and Support
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux and Red hat Operating Systems
Desirable:
- Experience supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite or Oracle SaaS environments
- Experience using Service Now, Jira and Jira Service Management
- Some knowledge of Teamcenter Unified, SharePoint, T-SQL, SQL, SSIS, Power BI, Oracle RDBMS 11i, 12c Red Hat Linux skills
- ITIL Certification and knowledge of a software development lifecycle

The IT Systems Administration team:
The role is responsible for ensuring the monitoring, maintenance and management of databases, application services and servers key to the business operation. As a Team Leader, you will manage the day to day running of the team including resource allocation, ensure maintenance activities are performed in line with our procedural mandates and improve execution through continuous improvement. This role will involve an element of being on-call to support.
