Job Title: Inventory Manager
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base
Salary: Circa £45,000 commensurate with skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the Inventory Management Team to deliver an efficient service, develop the team and permit a continuous improvement ethos
- Provide the interface between Projects, Logistics, Procurement, & Engineering to create and implement an inventory management policy
- Develop robust process of inventory reporting ft accurate and timely analysis
- Optimise inventory levels! Process /procurement to increase stock availability and reduce costs
- Provide future demand and capacity planning for BAE Stores within HMNBP
- Ensure compliance with the SHE Management System, mitigating risks and improving overall SHE performance within the team
- Resolve issues and customer enquiries to maintain service levels
Your skills and experiences:
- Aftermarket environment experience
- Analysis capability
- Very strong MRP and Excel Skills
- Line side/Vending/Kanban experience

The Operations Performance Team – Constructive:
The Operations Performance Lead in Constructive is responsible for supporting the Operational Performance Manager in optimising workforce performance and ensuring programme continuity. The team is responsible for maintenance of the vessel and the team consists of mainly Platers (Steel and Light), Ship rights, Welders, Laminators and Joiners.
