Inventory Management Team Leader

Grade: 5

Location: Taif

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.  We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the Inventory Management Team in order to ensure customers’ orders including generation, receipt, validation, prioritisation, solution, process and progression achieve contractual requirements within timescales and budgets set. Ensure motivation and effective utilisation of workforce, adherence to SHE, Quality and other internal and external regulations.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Leads and coordinates an Inventroy Management team, such that personnel are developed, utilised and deployed effectively.

Through coaching and mentoring, develops and maximises employee performance and motivates the team in order to meet organisational standards and requirements.

Primary focus is the quality of output and meeting short-term delivery schedules.

Works with the Head of Supply Chain Performance to generate, deliver and implement improvements in order to overcome non-compliance or enhance performance.

Develops and implements plans, approaches, schedules and improvement programmes in order to deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly performance metrics and objectives.

Project manage tasks, balancing risks and opportunities, in order to meet defined outputs and deliverables.

Ensures planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities such that progress can be established against budgets and performance criteria.

May be expected to deputise for the Head of Supply Chain Performance during normal periods of absence.

Builds relationships within the business, the customer base and suppliers; works with this group; has strong communication skills to convey knowledge and own experience, in order to persuade and convince others of actions required to resolve a problem or issue.

 

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

 

Recent extensive experience within a Supply Chain Inventory Management role in support of Maintenance /after sales market environments.

Recent proven experience as a Team Leader in a supply chain role.

    Qualified to degree level and/or, chartered membership of a relevant accredited professional institute
