About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Lead to join our Strategic Surveillance HF Exports Program based at Adelaide – South Australia, and reporting to the Program Engineering Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be leading a team of ICT Engineers in supporting the development, delivery and sustainment of technology and ‘turn-key’ mission critical Defence Radar Systems for export customers. Within our HF Exports Program, your scope will cover the development, delivery and sustainment of specialised ICT systems and environments that support the development of associated product technologies. You’ll provide support to concurrent Projects and have interactions with many other teams and stakeholders, as well as engineers in other disciplines. The HF Exports Program has a strong team culture that takes pride in what we do and how we work together, with a lot to offer for those looking to expand their professional skillset.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning and execution of ICT effort to design, develop and deliver ICT System capability in accordance with contractual and Company requirements
- Leading the sustainment and evolution of ICT environments and facilities associated with the Program (incl. managing the governance, risk and compliance thereof)
- Ensuring the tactical and strategic demand for ICT capability (People, Process and Tools) within the Program is appropriate and aligned with Company requirements
- Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to a highly skilled and cross functional team
- Championing the use of ‘Best Practice’ processes and methods across the Program
- Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to support the execution of ICT effort on the Program
About YOU
- A university degree level qualification in an appropriate discipline
- Experience working in a tech environment including, but not limited to Networking, Operating Systems (Linux in particular) and Applications
- Experience in a leadership role is considered advantageous
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a NV1 clearance
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
- Adaptable and collaborative behaviours
