Job Description
Job Title: HR Data Analyst
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Take a proactive, strategic approach to data management and reporting, ensuring high-quality insights drive decision-making
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to cleanse and prepare people data, enabling accurate and effective analysis
- Engage with users to understand their data requirements and develop tailored solutions that align with business objectives
- Utilise data storytelling techniques to translate insights into actionable recommendations that enhance workforce strategy
- Deliver statistical and analytical reports to support HR and key stakeholders, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and data integrity
- Manage and update the monthly HR dashboard, ensuring it provides valuable support for HR colleagues across various business areas
- Oversee the HR Shared Document area, ensuring robust governance, ease of use, and fostering collaboration through document sharing
- Leverage advanced tools to identify trends and insights in workforce data, incorporating external data where relevant to BAE Systems
- Perform data cleansing and compare information from multiple sources to ensure consistency and accuracy, addressing issues swiftly
Your skills and experiences:
- Proven experience in data analysis and interpretation within a People/HR analytics environment
- Familiarity with HR systems and time/attendance systems
- Experience in creating and managing HR (or similar) dashboards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Confident communicator with the ability to present data-driven insights effectively
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft packages, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) and Power BI

The Human Resources Team:
You will be joining a team of 10 HR professionals, reporting to the HR Director, providing support to line managers, employees, and peers. In this role, you’ll help shape HR strategies and deliver key data-driven insights, playing a vital part in our growing organisation.
Electronic Systems in Rochester is a diverse organisation that produces high-integrity commercial and defence electronics, including systems for avionics, power and propulsion, and more. As we experience significant growth, driven by critical projects, we are investing in the future with a major site refurbishment, including a new 20,000m² factory.
